After living as an orphan in Keramzin for so long, a young girl named Alina Starkov boards a Skiff with her childhood friend Mal Oretsev that is bound for the other side of a dark wall called The Fold and sets out on a journey that she's always wanted to go on, but while inside, the regiment she is traveling with are attacked and after that her whole life changes. She meets a dark & mysterious man and soon finds herself completely and utterly in love with him as he is with her. Soon, after she finds herself becoming something she never hoped to be, but soon realizes that being bad actually feels good.

All Things Must End
A year after Alina Starkov tears down the Shadow Fold, she is finally able to settle into her peaceful life. There is no more war with Ravka. The Darkling, once her enemy, is now a loyal, protective husband, and a father to their adoptive daughter, Amelia. But all things must end. Being part of the same Regiment she comes face to face with Alina after all these years..but things are different for them. Alina didn't practice as she should of and Amira did..that's why when the day comes that General Kirigan is heading into first army camp..the General's initials are on her neck..being a strong grisha in hiding allows her the benefits of all Grisha. Alina notices but doesn't ask as she knew what her and Amira are but she knew she denied it for Mal.
