When Akari started training in martial arts as a young child, she made friends with a lot of people in her karate school. One of her friends being Levi. They were really good friends growing up, but Levi kept getting recognized for his raw talent in Martial arts as they got older. That being said his ego began to grow. He started to think he was better than everyone else and started ignoring Akari because he thought he was too good for her. For about 5 years they stopped talking and were rivals until they got to their second year of high school. Levi moved from his previous high school to Akari's. Since they are in the same class they will now have to learn to get along to help the team and survive their regular school life.

I was doing just fine my junior year of high school. I mean I did pick fights once in a while and my grades weren't the best, but I was doing okay. Xander was my best friend, actually my only friend.
