Ren never wanted to be a hero- Risking her life to protect a flawed justice system didn't appeal to her, no matter how much her father had believed in it. The way she saw it, it was his selfless but reckless heroism that got him killed.
Yet it didn't mean she wanted to be a villain either. She'd made it a point to steer clear of all fighting in general- ignoring what her father had wanted for her before he left her here alone.
Still, it didn't mean she didn't find recent events fascinating- All Might's sudden retirement, Endeavour's family treatment revealed, the growing support and alliances for villains building up within society. Working at one of the leading Media and Press companies gave her access to fresh information, not to mention she was always researching new heroes and villains alike in her spare time.
That is, until she gets innocently caught up in a street fight broken out between some UA students and some of the more recently infamous villains. In particular the blue flame wielding cremation villain, Dabi.
Ren's quirk is powerful enough to resist him, but with recent revelations and secrets coming to light, is her heart and body?
Finally caught up with the manga, so all events are as of chapter 312. Please don't read if you'd like to avoid spoilers.

(Y/n)'s grandfather was a Pro-Hero in Japan. One of the best, in fact. He was in the top 20 Pro-Heroes. His Hero name was 'Manipulator' and his Quirk was Mind Manipulation. (Y/n) admired him a lot so when she heard that her family was going back to Japan, she wanted to tell him all about her Quirk. But sadly, when they got there, she was told that her grandfather died. They didn't stay there for long though, after their visit to Japan, they went back to America. Then 9 years later, (Y/n)'s parents decided to go back in Japan. To finally live there. (Y/n) was excited, thinking she'll not be homeschooled anymore because she was homeschooled all her life ever since her father's father's death. But due to strict parents, she continued homeschooling. 1 year later, she was bored. As always. So she decided to have a little fun around, only for her fate to turn around... !
