(this is my first ever y/n story-
but this is a Carl x y/n fanfic and I'll try to be inclusive as I can because sometimes the y/n stories are somewhat concerning when it comes to inclusivity)

Summer break. A kids any dream to have once that good or bad school year was over, no more homework, no more teachers, no more eating some of the weird food the lunch lady's thawed out (no disrespect to them just the food i know they work hard). But this summer break there would be no water parks or sleepovers, there was a virus of some kind started to spark up at the end if May where people would get terribly sick but there was no antibodies or something to stop the illness once they caught the infection there was no saving them. What was strange is that once the infected individuals had passed due to the illness they somehow came back but they weren't themselves almost forgetting who they were entirely, that wasn't the worst part once they came back they had a hunger for human or any flesh. After that the world kind of fell leading to nothing but the flesh craving creatures and scavengers of sorts.

This will take place during season 5 before Carl losses his eye
