The Shift: A neurological phenomenon created by the Higher Ups of the World to combat depression after the year 2020.

Ada Finley's life has been nothing but the same since she could remember. Drinking solely cold brew as liquid, going down to work at the coffee shop down the road, coming home, and watching films on an old TV that her mum gave her for Christmas six years ago. But today is her 21st birthday, which means only one thing: The Shift is coming. And she has no idea what to expect.
