Ada Finley's life has been nothing but the same since she could remember. Drinking solely cold brew as liquid, going down to work at the coffee shop down the road, coming home, and watching films on an old TV that her mum gave her for Christmas six years ago. But today is her 21st birthday, which means only one thing: The Shift is coming. And she has no idea what to expect.

However, an unexpected interaction happened and it changed the course of her life. This occurrence started affecting her life and relationship; she's finally seeing the negative effects. Her fantasy and reality began coinciding and she started having a hard time identifying which is which.
