This is a story about what happened before April. We thought we knew everything about Joshua, but as it turns out his past has a lot to tell. And his past involves the sassy and seductive demon Amanda- who has more to do with Joshua than he previously led on.
This is in Amanda's perspective as she gets to know Joshua personally. This is a story of how she helps him find who called to him from Earth. She also helps him learn that maybe those from Hell aren't all that different from those above.
And yes, he still requires breast milk for energy.
