Then, Wei Ying leaned back further, almost laying down himself. But his Lan Zhan was in his lap, so it was all okay. "I suppose we were meant to die in a cave together after all." The words came out as a joke, but both of them understood the implications, and their desperate situation behind them. "Would've saved us a lot of trouble if it'd happened all those years ago, huh? Come to claim destiny? Really, it would be poetic if we weren't going to freeze to death."
He paused, waiting for a response. Anything at all would do.
