Thirteen Points of Light
After a night on the town, Sarah wakes up to a miserable hangover. But it's nothing compared to what comes next. After attempting to light a cigarette, she feels that something isn't quite right. Soon she'll discover that everything is very wrong. My entry in the Open Novella Contest III, Feb 2020. April 28. Just got the news that Thirteen Points has made it through the second round. Now I have to finish by May 5th. I'm not as far along as I had hoped at this point, but I'm sure I can make it. May 4th. 12:10 am. Finished. Submitted. Good night. May 20th. Well, 13 Points made the Long List. I have no idea how many original entries there were but about 940 made the first cut. There's 150 on the Long List. Not bad for my first time out. Now we'll wait and see how we fare on the Short List. May 30th. Well, Sarah and company didn't make the Short List. I can't say I'm disappointed though. Disaster struck an ocean. A forest boy wakes. Brothers by the blinding light will save the kingdom's grace. Hi. I've had this story planned in my head for a long time and I finally had the motivation to write it! (yay!) This is also slightly inspired by another fic I read on AO3, which I unfortunately forgot the title of ;; Also, I am very against the use of A.I and for that reason, no A.I was used in the making of this fic. "Hoam," I yawned. It is 5 a.m. in the morning. . . . . .and here we are, in the middle of the beach. At first, I reluctantly agree. I would love to spend some times with my best friends. But now, it felt like regret. I am just so sleepy that I can't no longer keep my eyes open. "Are you okay, Max?" Hedgehog asked. I tried to smile as good as I could, "I guess, I am fine." "I thought bat was a nocturnal animal," she replied calmly. Stating a smart fact from her genius brain---which was actually cute. "Well," I muttered. "I might be a bat, but I didn't sleep when the sun is calling." She nodded in respect. At the same time, confused looking Oscar was standing in the middle of us. 《¤¤¤》Complete

This is a story about a little girl Rose who gains some magical power with time. She lives with her mother in a city of Alaska. Her mother is her only family after she lost her father.
