Naomi Starke and Sam Pearson are completely different from each other.

Naomi already had her life planned out like she wanted: be a straight A student, receive honors at the end of the school year, and repeat next year. Unlike her, Sam doesn't even know what electives to take.

She's quick in making decisions, while he can't even decide which ice cream flavor to choose.

He's all about fun, while she's all about organization.

She takes her responsibilities and expectations seriously. He doesn't and tries to avoid them occasionally.

Unlike him, she's prepared for everything: safety measures for earthquakes and hurricanes, self-defense against muggers and rapists, et cetera. But nothing prepared her for the whirlwind of fun, risks, and danger that Sam brought into her life.

Excerpt-- Take a breath, Lana. Everything will be okay. My stomach churned when I noticed his perfectly combed chestnut hair walking through the corridor by himself, just like any other day. I basically jumped out of the bush, nearly tripping in the process. With no time to fix my hair, I rushed in front of him causing him to stop. "Who are you?" He asked, staring deeply into my eyes, practically making me melt. "I'm Lana Hart, we're in the same grade," acting like a robot reciting the speech I had a plan in my head. "Could you please accept this letter?" I bowed my head down like an idiot, may I add waiting for him to take the letter. Soft panic aroused in my chest. Please let this one good thing happen to me. ---- Charming, quiet, intimidating, interesting, smart; Declan Novak was the perfect student at Yvon High School. It was as if he had the 'golden touch'. Literally. Every ground he walked on was like rolling out the red carpet for him. He had his whole life planned out; graduate as valedictorian, attend a prestigious college, and then take over his father's multimillion-dollar company-- All until Lana Hart came into the picture, love letter in hand with admiration in her eyes. Lana, little Miss Sunshine, spent most of high school crushing hard on Declan, the rude yet amazingly attractive Greek God of the school. She rarely spent time on her studies, but now that it's senior year, Lana is frantically running out of time to improve her grades for nursing school. That, and getting Declan to notice her. Will the optimistic Lana be able to win over crush's heart? Or will Declan ignore her like he does with every other girl? Every Little Thing

23 parts Complete Mature

Mallory finds herself brokenhearted when she loses the love of her life in a tragic accident. She's left to pick up the pieces of her life with the help of her best friend, Kendall. Her job as a neonatal nurse helps to keep her mind off of her broken heart when something unexpected happens; she comes face to face with Dr. Samuel Daniels. Will she find love again, or will her grief blind her from her second chance at love and happiness? *** "Kendall is under the illusion that you're in love with me. Can you believe that? I just buried my fiancé seven months ago. She told me not to be blinded by my grief, not to see that you love me," I sigh. I notice Sam lower his head. "I'm guessing that must have pissed you off." "It did! I don't want her to ruin the friendship that we have. I like how we are. You throw the love word in there, and it freaks me out." I fight back my tears. Sam raises his head to look at me. "Listen, Mallory. I would never do anything to jeopardize what we have. Please don't let other people's observations of our relationship mess that up, okay?" *** 1st Place in The Candy Cane Awards 🥇 2nd Place in the 2020 Universal Awards 🥈 2nd Place in the Books and Beyond Awards 🥈
