It has been 12 years since Celina led the rebellion, 12 years for a new generation to be born and grow, and 12 years for the monsters and humans of Monstrum to forget.

Celina McRogers, along with the 43rd Victor, Nicholas Connelly are dead, both found shot in the head only months after the Games finished. The rebellion crumbled in on itself, with no leader and no plan of action, those that weren't captured and killed, went into hiding, hoping that one day their work could be continued. President Scarewell, despite being weak and sick- now an openly known fact- has found dedication and love from many of his people.

Except for those he hasn't.

The fences of Monstrum have grown weak, and without the President's knowledge, mutations have been born throughout the country, accounting for a quarter of the population. De Nova is overflowing, and the Guardians can't keep up with every case reported; the mutants have gotten good at hiding, and for the first time, they are ready to fight back against the man that has tried to keep them caged.

The final Games in the Monster Games series. Do you have what it takes to eliminate the President and all that he has built?

No one knows why or how they came onto the blue planet but that doesn't really matter anymore. One by one the humans started to disappear and were replaced by monsters until all that was left of them were their cities and knowledge. Legend has it that human survivors still exist and are living in the depths of a forest, right on the doorstep of the capital monster kingdom, Zyire. Protected and concealed by a magical border that burns monsters if they attempt to enter, the humans wait patiently for the right opportunity to strike and take back what once was theirs. 18 year-old human survivor Dawn lives within the borders of the forest, or as the humans call it, the Base. In the Base, the humans are separated into three groups; the Service, the Watchers and the Venturers. It is the Service's job to cook, what little food they have, and to heal the injured and sick. It is the Watcher's job to hide in the trees and scan the clearing, that lies before the forest's border, for monsters on the Venture days. It is the Venturers job to leave the forest borders on Venture days, and run into desolate cities to steal food, bedding and supplies that they need to survive. There is only one rule; never get caught. Venturer Dawn finds herself in a dangerous situation when she breaks the one rule. Dawn is caught by a monster, and not just any monster, but a monster who works as a Protector for their kind. Dawn soon learns that there are more to monsters than meets the eye. © 2016 by Heather Darte

. Three years. It had been three years since he'd been taken, experimented on, had his DNA altered and became a freak of nature. He knew because he'd managed to peek at the computer when they dragged him into that dreaded room; the one they used to prod, poke and inject him with god-knows-what. He was considered their only success - meaning their illegal tests hadn't killed him or rendered him paralysed, or worse; brain dead. He was subject 254. And he was the only survivor. At least until she - subject 391 - moved into the cell next door. - - 18th June 2018 - Rank 1 #sciencefiction 17th May 2019 - Rank 4 #romance 22nd Feb 2019 - Rank 1 #superpowers -- ** NOW COMPLETED**
