Vegetative state, an in-between; not dead, but not alive either.
That's how Haruka lives on after he swam his final stroke at the age of eighteen.
∙♥∙
Everyone starts to give up on him slowly but surely; seeing him lie there without a real personality, body function or even the capability to notice his surroundings, makes them doubt whether letting him live is even a choice to begin with. They just want to mourn their lost friend.
But not Makoto; he knows that Haruka's condition might not fix itself over time, but he's also well aware that things like this can be carried. It's his job to carry Haruka through these tough moments by staying by his side, loving him and taking care of him 24/7.
Hoping and wishing that somewhere in this universe miracles do exist.
∙♥∙
They say it'd been better if he'd died, that they don't want him to put him through years of being disabled or not even conscious.
But we deserve to live; both I and Haruka.

[MakoHaru] How to say I LOVE YOU?

19 parts Complete

Summary: Haruka wasn't sure if he'd missed a step in the process, or just been born completely outside of it. He'd thought on several occasions, if only his parents had married for love and not money, maybe he wouldn't be this way. Maybe if he had been born from the passion of lovers under a starlit night sky, he too would have grown into love the way everyone else did. "That's gross!" As far back as elementary school, Haruka had sealed himself away. "...What?" There was something so fundamental about the way everyone around him thought, something so innate that no one had ever bothered to give it a name. Something unspoken, perhaps it was a feeling more than a thought. Something, whatever it was, Haruka did not have. "Boys can't love each other! Don't be gross." ___________________ Pairing: Makoto Tachibana / Haruka Nanase Fandom: free! © MsKirishima & FangirlTakeover Warning: Yaoi
