10 year old Ruth has seen her own sister get brutally murdered on her own wedding day. To make matters worse, no one wants to take Ruth in except for the bride's groom, Edward.
7 years later, Ruth is still living with Edward, facing the normal school situations. Just as things start looking brighter, a new dark, mysterious boy shows up. Before long, Blade and Ruth learn that they both share something in common. Before either one of them can continue in their friendship, horrible jealousy and dangerous life changing situations happen.
