This is a SEQUEL to 'My Duty' I suggest you read that one first otherwise you'll have no clue on what's going on. ----- The rose was soft, cold, damp... red. The flashes overwhelmed her once again and her hand recoiled from the petals. It was just a colour. Yet that very colour was splashed all over her attire that day, only to be covered up by a thick layer of smoke and ash. She killed so many and the ones that didn't reach the end of her blades were already taken by the lashing fire. But... she got out. She survived all of it. Someone else must of made it out too, it couldn't of been just her could it? ---- I do not own the characters. The creators of the Legend of Korra do.

"I knew deep down, though, that I had no intention of returning to the physical world without her. I couldn't live with myself if I hadn't done everything I could to get her back. The months spent apart were grueling enough, and I told myself again and again that I would get used to it, repeating it often enough that it became a command rather than a wish-one that I couldn't obey. And I knew that I never would, either." Canon-compliant fic in which Asami and Korra actually keep in touch while Korra recovers from Zaheer's poisoning, complete with long-distance slow-burn, coming out, and love confessions. PSA: Although this is part 2 of the write to me series, it can be read as a standalone. You can read part 2 without reading part 1 and leave it at that but if you read part 2, you'll probably wanna read part 1. You could also read them alongside each other if you really wanted
