After being attacked by Rize Kamishiro's twin sister, Remi, Hinata undergoes an organ transplant that saves his life. Though it also turns him into the most feared thing in the world. A ghoul.

He relies on two other ghouls, the two that saved his life. Kageyama Tobio and Sugawara Koushi, The Black King and The Silver Crow.

Though, after the CCG arrests his mother and little sister, Hinata and Kageyama flee to Tokyo. They join a group of ghouls at the cafe known as Anteiku, two of them being none other than Kuroo Tetsuro and Kozume Kenma.

Though, the violence and CCG threats don't stop there.

And neither do Hinata's growing emotions towards Kageyama.

"Ya know... if we really do lose everything tomorrow... then let's do everything tonight."
