(I wrote this story when I was in 8th grade so don't hate me for it, I know it's pretty bad but I was proud of it. So just warning you.)
Jj is having a hard time at home, Will is abusive to her and no one on the team knows. She has been struggling a lot but she won't open up to anyone. She wondered if she should open up to her best friend Emily but she is scared of what she might think of her.

Kate was used to dealing with unfair consequences. Having a less than ideal home life and no one else to support her, she had learned to deal with things on her own. She had learned not to feel and especially not to hope. So when someone new comes into her life Kate does the best thing she can think of, she shuts them out. But, after a series of events in the course of one day, they are thrown back together, and Kate is given the chance to explain herself. Explain why she was so guarded and why she had closed herself off in the first place. And maybe along the way Kate learns that things aren't always so bad. ⚠️PLEASE READ⚠️ PSA: I was in 8th grade when I wrote this and I believe it is very poorly done. Go ahead and read. I don't have the patience to rewrite. I have heard from several comments that it is funny so that is something to look forward to. MAJOR TRIGGER WARNINGS: I know there are several mentions etc of self harm. I believe there is also mention of sexual assault and the R word. There may also be mentions of EDs but I don't recall as I haven't read this story in years.
