Previous title: Help! My Roommate is NOT Human (HeroSteve)
-Modern AU-
A series of bad luck followed Steve one morning, ultimately leading him to get robbed, fired from his job, and then kicked out of his apartment.
Fortunately, he found a decent apartment that was unusually cheap. He gathered up what he could and moved in. The only thing that he has to worry about is finding a job to make ends meet.
Or so it seems.
Moving into this apartment complex brings another load of problems. Just when he thought it couldn't get any worse, he received a notice that he would have a roommate. Steve thought he could at least make a friend and pay the rent at half the price but that's where the problem is.
Not only does his new roommate have no way to pay the rent, but he also seems weird. No one but Steve notices his unnatural features. He is sure that he isn't going crazy and that his roommate named Herobrine is definitely not a human being!
By some miracle, the two became acquaintances of some sort. Steve began helping Herobrine, showing him how to live like a normal human being. He doesn't know it but Herobrine is slowly opening himself to him. Even Steve himself doesn't know that he was falling for him.
Perhaps he really is going crazy after all?
Steve has to navigate his feelings AND help Herobrine become as human as possible which was much more easier said than done.

Do as we Must - A Minecraft Story
The man looked at the blinding light in the distance, straining his eyes forcefully. Where am I? He thought. The light calmed and he remembered. He was Steve. But... who was he? Yes, he knew his name, but he had no idea what his past had been like, who he was as a person, what he had done in his life, what others had done to him, or anything else. All he knew was Steve. Suddenly, the light came back, and a bald gray bearded man stepped out. "Hello, brother." Steve shivered and stepped back. "I have no idea who you are." The man's smile quickly turned serious and grim. "What do you mean, Steve? It's me, Notch." Steve winced. "I don't know anyone by that name." Notch frowned. "What do you mean? I am your brother, Steve!" "I-I've lost my memory." Notch straightened his face again. "It must've been that battle with Entity yesterday." he muttered _____________ My name's Zane. Me and my friend Cody and my sister Emily had been attacked by mobs in our hometown, sent out by a 'strange force' as the cops said. People called it the 'Event.' One day, we built a shelter and hid it away with a trap in front of it to insure that nothing from the outside could get in. Maybe if we would've simply warned people to stay out, to leave, they wouldn't look for us. But Tamika and Jack did look for us.Complete

Rent A Friend
Steven doesn't complain. Not to his family, not to his friends, not to anyone. He's the reliable one, the calm one, the guy who always has it together. ...Except he doesn't. One bad day, he stumbles across Rent A Friend-a website where you pay to talk, vent, or just waste thirty minutes of your life with a stranger. It's supposed to be a one-time thing. Just thirty minutes. Just a random voice on the other line. But then JL picks up his call. JL-sarcastic, sassy, and way too good at making him laugh when he's supposed to be brooding-becomes the highlight of Steven's nights. What was supposed to be "just a service" turns into a habit... and maybe something dangerously close to a connection. There's only one catch: ❌ No personal info. ❌ No meeting in real life. ❌ No exceptions. But when video calls and slip-ups start blurring the lines, Steven finds himself falling for the voice on the other end of the line. And JL? He might just be falling, too. A fluffy, slow-burn romcom about late-night calls, accidental feelings, and discovering that sometimes, love really is just a call away.Complete
