Just a Kid

"This is your life and this is all you get. Don't you get it? Its inevitable. You will be me one day and you will be a failure too. It's in your DNA," He yelled in my face. I could smell the alcohol on his breath.

I snapped. "Get away from me you pig," I pushed him off of me, "I refuse to sit here and let this be all there is for me out there. I'm going somewhere. I don't care...I don't....I don't care that you don't want me or that I seem like a lost cause and people look at me with pity in there eyes or that I am the girl with an alcoholic dad and a dead mother. I'm gonna do something with my life and I'm gonna fall in love and get married and raise a family and I gonna be an amazing mother. You just watch because I'll do something for my kids something you never once thought about doing for me. I'll be there."
