What is the point with your life, if the only thing you are doing is trying to survive trough your darkest moments?
Being surrounded by the darkness is a topic no one is really talking about.
Writing this helped me understand what pain can be like and how loneliness really affect us. Trying to enjoy life even though you find nothing to enjoy.
Pretending that you are okay when you are at your lowest.
I didn't write this to be a good book, but to let out my feelings and maybe my problems will be others solution or motivation.

The purpose of this poetry book is one of defiance. Not to others, or anything in particular. It is against the war we wage internally, against ourselves every day. There is no bigger challenge in life than facing your thoughts, your true emotions, your feelings when you lie alone at night by yourself, cornered. We tend to postpone them, shelf them, as we grow accustomed to our daily activities, never giving ourselves a chance to evaluate ourselves. Who are we? what do we lack? what do we need? In this book, I took it upon myself to air out all of my grievances, my intimate thoughts, my happiness, my disappointments, my sadness all out in the open, for all to see. I wanted to face it all. This is a collection of my writing from the past 7 years. Before I started to write, I was a very lost individual, as are most teens, but I was lost in darkness. I was too afraid to move anywhere at all. I hid in the dark, debilitated by my own anxiety, sadnesses, anger, and hopelessness. I was desperate to be loved and feared it the most, I was a coward, I was self-destructive, I would mentally bend my thoughts to the point of bordering insanity. I was born into this world alone, and got too comfortable with it. Maybe I still am, but a fraction of what I used to be. This writing is extremely vulnerable, and potentially disturbing to others, as all my weaknesses, strengths, obsessions with making every moment sentimental, the sickening desperation I've had, the destructiveness, and the constant brutal reconstruction of my mind. Without guidance, it's been absolute intense chaos. Though, there is beauty in the darkness. Everything can be found in the darkness. You'll find that through my writing, I've somehow slowly become exactly what I've written. A living representation of my writing and what I wanted to be. Without myself even knowing it. A lot of my writing themes are based around nature, or some kind of natural aspect. The imagery I paint with natural metaphors is constant, the animals, just like you and I, the plants, and all other living things. I planted these seeds in my mind, unknowingly at the time, where I now feel the deep dark green jungle pressing at the inner walls of my skull. It's all that I want to consume my mind. There's so much to learn. The magic of nature, and it's infinite wisdom. It's as if I have been on this path all along, and I didn't even know what I was doing, yet my body and mind were passively taking care of me. Giving me and eventually showing exactly what I want, and wanted to become. I have every moment, every instance of suffering, and every epiphany to be thankful for. Broken Into Darkness
Darkness, how do you describe it? It is a feeling where you are so far gone, a numb feeling that turns into nothing. All the light you once had is now filled with blackness. You are trying to reach the surface but you can not seem to get up there. You're just sinking down. When you are stuck between the light and the darkness. When death comes for the person you love the most, it takes your breath away, leaving you gasping for air. You realize that the person you loved the most was the light, who kept the darkness at bay, never letting it come back to the surface. Once that is taken away from you, you feel as if the light will never return. You feel like there is no purpose to your life anymore. Without the light there is not a purpose to live life. Looking at everyone, everything you start to realize that there is no point so why live? When the person you loved is ripped away from you, no explanation why. Why her? Why take away my light? So you just allow the darkness to consume you, where you are done with it all and shut off any emotions to feel nothing.Complete
