You and the Gladers escaped the maze and are finally free from Wicked's grasp. Everything is perfect. You're fed, given new clothes, given the proper care, but it doesn't last long.
With the help of a new friend, you realize that nothing is as perfect as it seems, and that you never escaped from Wicked. You and the Gladers flee the facility and decide to face the Scorch on your own, soon learning how difficult it is to survive in a world plagued by the sun. However, the Scorch seems to be the least of your problems as you realize that no one can be trusted, not even the Gladers.

In this fanfic, Newt and Cara are already in a relationship but their situation threatens to pull them apart. Will their love stand the trials brought about by a dying world? Short Summary Newt, Cara, and the rest of the group are rescued from the maze. Cara is given her memories back right before her, Newt and the group escape the WICKED facility. Her loyalty to her friends wavers but she soon realizes that she no longer wants to work for WICKED despite Teresa trying to convince her otherwise. They try to escape the grasp of WICKED as they make their way through the Scorch in search of the Right Arm.
