Faith was all she had when she moved to the city, faith to survive, to stay strong, to carry the weight no one else could see.

Then came Cohen Adam Monternel, student council officer, effortlessly charming, and far too curious about the quiet, guarded world she tried so hard to protect.

With a smile that could disarm even the toughest defenses, he seemed to see right through her walls.
