Then we stood at the mouth of the sewer, staring into the dark abyss with nothing but a finicky lamp and an unusual team of six rebellious kids.
What we were about to do was treason at the highest level. It was hard not to think about as it thrummed in my body, through my blood. My adrenaline was already pumping through me. If we got caught... if any of us were recognized... The consequences were too severe to think about.

"I walked over to where Aaron was sitting on the ground, kneeling so that I was face-to-face with him. He was wearing a blank expression on his face so I guess he didn't really care if I kissed him or not.
