As one of the last deep sea mermaids of your kind you find solace in the isolation you have become familiar with. But part of you still longs to venture out into the world and see how it has changed since the rise of humanity. When an injured man washes up on "your" shore, and you help him, you soon find yourself trapped in a net that can't get out of. But do you really want to escape? Or do you want to build a new life far different from the lonely one you have always know? 


This work was loosely inspired by the short comic "The Mermaid of Lilly lake" done by @andivart on Instagram. 

I just write for fun so please don't take my work too seriously.

If they hadn't I marvel if there would ever be a story about their fate. Levi had unexpectedly awoken, it was dark but mermaids can see in the dark so it wasn't an issue for him, Levi looked around and found his fellow people body's drifting away. He found that he couldn't move his tail, there was a harpoon in it rendering each motion painful. Somehow these disastrous advents guided Levi to Erwin smith a well-known pirate that's stories have scattered around the world, what happens if Erwin discovers Levi's secret while they search for the legendary fountain of youth!?
