In a world where people have innate abilities, closely linked to the four major elements.
Fire, Earth, Water and Air. 

Lou and her brother Sorin must find out where they fit into todays society, where bigger and flasher abilities rule in the kingdom of Althea.
 Lou dreams of becoming one of The Nie (pronounced n-eye), the kingdoms most powerful  ability users.

While Lou and Sorin are training, under their father, a former Nie member, a dark evil awakens.
