Will Solace spends his days healing people in the infirmary, drowning himself in guilt of those he couldn't save, and obsessing over a certain Son of Hades. But when a strange girl sits down on the beach next to him and sees past the mask, sees the broken boy he's been trying to hide from even himself, Will realizes he's not as okay as he tells himself. He continues to berate himself for not being enough, and fears that he won't be able to help Nico, who's suffering. After Nico experiences a dreadful nightmare, and Will is a firsthand witness to how it affected him, he realizes not everything is as it seems. Nico's fighting demons, too. Everybody's wearing masks.
