Madelyn
Senior year, fresh starts, new beginnings, not so hard. Last year before I can finally leave and not turn back around. The past can finally stay behind me, and I can finally start moving on. It's about me this year, that was until he showed back up asking for a second chance.
Jackson
Last year, one more championship to win and then I have my pick at whatever college. No room for distractions, although I've never had a problem with not being distracted. Then I ran into her again, after years of pretending not to know her anymore.
"Just stay, you've seen it yourself even with all the bad that has happened, you still found the good" He stared into my eyes almost pleading with my own for me to stay. I wasn't sure I could anymore.
"Ok" I saw a small smile reach his lips before he bent down and kissed my forehead.
"You should get some rest" and with that I closed my eyes and let the darkness consume me.

Highschool Sweethearts
Katelyn has been in and out of the foster system since her mother died when she was young. After her father gets put in jail again, she gets sent to live with the Thomas family. The Thomas's are a very well-off family with four boys. Their house is usually the main hangout for the boys and their friends. Kate hasn't ever lived with siblings before, let alone this many boys, so it's a big change for her. Daniel is your typical high school football player; he's got the looks, the muscles, talent, and even the overbearing dad who wants him to go pro. Daniel, however, really couldn't care less about a career in football, he loves the game, but it's his dad's dream for him to go pro, not his own. At least not anymore. He spends most of his free time away from his house and hanging out at either the Thomas or the Copperfield house. He can't wait to go off to college with his friends and get away from his dad and the stupid little town he grew up in. How will things change for them over the next year? This will be a series of 4, but the other books will be spin-offs and can be read as stand-alone books. They will, however, be published in chronological order. Full warning, this book is much shorter than I intend on making the spin-offs. I was planning on writing book two as the first in the series but found myself needing more of a prequel to all three other books, and so I chose to write something from their high school years. Bonus points for giving Daniel a love interest that was more than just a name.Complete

I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace. Sometimes you don't need to be the smartest, or the fastest, but you do need to be wisest.
