This fanfic- well story is basically about a young girl/boy/(etc) having a 'friend' with them at all times. They don't like their 'friend' because he's a nerd. After a summer break, that nerd has a glowup. He soon becomes popular and you quite fall for him. Eventually you burst your feelings out to him and sooner on he drops you. But then the story/fanfic gets better from there.
