It's the 72nd anual Hunger Games and Aria Mayfield thinks she's got nothing else to lose... until she is reaped to go into the Arena to represent the female tribute of District 5.
The problem is that besides having no one that really cares for her at home, for being only twelve, and the youngest and scrawniest kid in the Games, she's got less chances than any other tribute this year, meaning she's also got the worse mentor of her District, someone who's always drunk and couldn't care less about her.
To top it off, she isn't really about making good impressions and sucking it up to anyone, making her the most hated tribute ever, known to talk bad about the Games, the Capitol and the President alike... and she's got a strict no kill policy.
With no family who cares, a drunk and useless mentor, no sponsors, no height or weight advantage over her competition and no intention to kill, the odds are definitely not in Aria's favor.
