Alkyeria was a gifted child. Her coming was long foretold before her birth. However, peaceful times were limited, and she would need to go through many trials to find her place.

Her father, the commander of their outpost, would die early, leaving Alkyeria and her mother to face an unfortunate fate. Eventually, to change her fate, Alkyeria will leave that outpost and venture on to forsaken lands to find herself and gain allies.

During her journey, she will find that her past and her abilities are not as ordinary as she was led to believe.

Alkyeria battles to become the first of her kind. But in order to do so, she will need to persevere through many trials, face her fears, decide whether or not to let love enter her life, and save her people from the cruelness of Galbatorix.

His sister Kelis finds someone in need of a roommate so he moves in with the girl and gives her his middle name, Lucas. He quickly becomes addicted to the girl and once he gets one taste he's done for. He warns her about his past, about his name, but she ignores all the red flags, not realizing exactly how intertwined she is with the people from his past.
