Loxwood clay pits development site is understood to be a principal clay resource for brick making and is well located for supplying several relatively local brickworks. It has been geologically noted by the British Geological Survey (BGS) England and Wales as being underlain by the Weald Clay Formation. The site development will be accompanied by the construction of (CMRF) construction materials recycling facility to provide local recycling facilities and waste management with a target of extraction of approximately 400k tonnes of clay from the site which will be used in construction/industrial application and brick making.
