What kind of rules are cherry picked for life? Should we just accept them for how the world creates it, or change them for the better. Bria was dealt a fair hand in life. Her parents made a name for themselves in a society that doesn't offer change, and gave her a good childhood. It made it all the more horrid when she witnessed them draw their last breath.

Sent to live with her uncle, the Governor of state Miseki, she didn't see a future for herself, at least not until the day of the town harvest festival. Attacked by a drunken man, and saved by a ruthless one, Bria's life changed that day. For better or for worse, maybe fate's rules play differently than the world's. Maybe good will come from the bad.

Maybe Bria's life has drifted to follow destiny's blue-ridden path of flutters guiding her way.

Her Own Wings

Liz grew up in a house that looked picture perfect. A Mother, Father and younger sister. Looks are deceiving. Sir, her father, is an alcoholic and drug abuser. When he's sober, he's the greatest guy to be around. When drunk, he's someone to avoid. Liz learned at a young age it was better to be seen and not heard. When Sir got drunk, Liz stayed in her room and struggled to be quiet so she didn't draw attention to herself. She began using her imagination at a young age to self soothe. Liz had a full family, who were loving and supporting in her imaginary world. As she got older, her imaginary world changed. Gone were the fantastical beasts from her childhood, sand replaced with her imaginary perfect family, perfect boyfriend, perfect everything. When things got tough, Liz escaped reality. Now, as an adult, wife and mother, when tragedy strikes she finally needs to learn to live fully in the real world. Can she give up her perfect world?
