Caroline's stardom is interrupted after she and her mustang co-star are injured during a show. Needing time to heal and recover out of the spotlight, Caroline hides out with a low profile Colorado horse trainer, who she hopes can get her and her once wild horse back to where they used to be. As everything begins to unravel, Caroline fears she is losing grip on the illusion she built her reputation on. She will have to decide if saving face and fame mean more to her than the person she has come to be real with.

He is ten years older than her with a daughter, and other than being something, or rather someone to do, he is of no real interest to her. Out here, away from it all, Caroline can't keep up the act. Messy, but finally real, Arden is the only one who can handle her at her worst. Caroline can't let go of the image in her head of the person she should be, and that is someone Arden just can't be with. If she can't recognize a good thing when she has it, she'll be left with just her illusion and the horse she rode in on.

Still hurting from her mom's accident and thinking it was her fault her mom ended up dying and now to go on top of that she has to live with the dad that abandoned her all those years ago. She also lost interest in riding horses, too until she meets the three most snobby, rich kids named Madison, Bonnie, and Lucy, who think they are better than everyone when it comes to riding horses, but Rose sure doesn't think she is. Rose thinks she can beat them, so Rose challenges her and tells her that she can beat her, so they make a deal, but the one think Rose didn't think of was that she stopped ridding because of her mom's accident and that means she has to get back on a horse. At first she doesn't think she can until a beautiful grayish white mustang comes to her dad's farm, who Rose names later as Stardust. Rose finally realizes that she can do this alone, she's going to need help from her father to help her get back on and also have help from the new cute boy, Austin who's helping for his community service. At first he doesn't want to be there, but eventually finds a reason to stay. Rose has had a good life up until the day of the accident, but now she's got to face loss, and heartbreak, but she's got to learn to get back in the race. This story holds romance, family, trust, understanding the past, and conquering your fears. *Read to find out more, I know it may sound boring from the description, but it's really not.
