"Knowledge is not power; power is power, boy. What's your name?" the King asked, although his tone it was a statement. The boy below him looked up from the ground and found himself at the cold expression of the King.
He couldn't find any words, only a lump in his throat that seemed to grow with every passing second. "I'm Dream" he croaked out. He can never let his guard down, even in front of royalty.
"Dream..." the King pondered for a moment, "unfortunate for you, having a name with a legacy so unattainable." Dream scoffed. This 'King George' obviously had no clue who he was standing above.

The Rink
George, a high school student content in his routine of going to school then roller skating for hours on end, is in for a shock when a new kid is hired at the skating rink he frequents. New-hire Dream is a strong-willed nineteen-year-old (nephew to the owner of the skating rink) who already seems to be butting heads with George. At first Dream appears to be private about his personal affairs by withholding certain details of his life from George, but he soon finds George to be a great comfort and support when he falls on hard times. As George learns more about Dream's shocking past, will their strikingly different upbringings lead to a difference in priorities, or can their undeniable attachment to one another help form a lasting relationship between the two? Keeping his real identity hidden and pretending to be just another nobody, he's introduced to a world that's vastly different from his former life in the kingdom. Secrets are revealed and he's shown a completely new side to life that makes him question everything he's ever known. George's new situation is in his eyes close to perfection. Finally, he's found the place where he was always meant to be. But there's one problem, or rather a person, that refuses to accept George as a new member no matter how hard he tries. And how long can a runaway prince pretend to be something he's not before the truth is exposed? (FYI: I do not ship these people IRL and the story will be removed if anyone mentioned expresses discomfort.) Dream wasn't entirely sure what the others expected of him now, after all, since prison he hadn't made a big secret of the fact that he was... different. He would have to answer a few questions no matter what, but if necessary, he could always resort to lying. George backed up and shook his head. "Who are you really?"

But there's just one issue: He's never seen Dream's face before. And when he does, he's terrified he'll fall even further for him. Dream is excited and nervous to go on a trip with George. Thing is, most of his friends haven't seen his face. Will they think of him differently? More importantly, will he be able to tell George how he feels? Or will he forever live in the shadows?
