Inception: A Newtmas Fanfiction
[EDIT 1] My work is currently undergoing some revisions. I wrote this 5 years ago, and needless to say, some of the dialogue, scenes, wording, and overall feel is quite childish. Not all of it, but some of it. I've decided to revisit my original first story and make it better. The story is definitely much more mature now, and I think everyone will enjoy it better now that the tone has changed to fit the melancholy nature of my story. Thanks in advance. Thomas gets a chance at redemption when he is offered a seemingly impossible task: plant an idea in someone's mind. If he succeeds, Thomas and his fellow gladers will have succeeded in bringing back a long lost friend. But a dangerous enemy anticipates his every move.Complete
Everything has its place
Thomas' new life began in a metal box lurching through an elevator shaft. Confused, scared and filled with curiosity, he thinks the boys laughing maliciously at him are going to roast him over an open fire and eat him. When that doesn't happen, he's left with too many questions about who he is and where he came from. In his heart, though, he knows that he must become a Runner. A boy who is chosen to run through their prison, a Maze, and find an escape. This is a rewrite of the Maze Runner movies. I don't really know if rewrite is the right word, but I'm using this as an opportunity to practice my writing. It'll follow the structure of the movies with minor adjustments, especially just now in the first one. Later on more adjustments will happen, I think. I also want to include Newt/Thomas in this rewrite as I find the ship cute. My writing is a bit clunky and all-over-the-place but I hope you enjoy :) Please feel free to offer constructive criticism. I wake up to the sound of metal clanging off metal. It isn't a peaceful awakening I think. It was pitch black wherever I am, yet there is a sliver of light at the top of this.....tunnel maybe. I try to stand up but end up hitting my head on something which i guess is the top of this box. Where am i? i question myself. Wait,who am i? I couldn't remember my name or anything yet i knew the basic stuff like math and science and i'm a human. The box i'm in is quickly picking up speed.
