|| When Himawari was a child, she lived a happy life with her family, including her older sister, Shion Kocho. One day, a curse attacked their home and killed her parents, but she was saved by Satoru Gojo and promised to join the Jujutsu High to protect others from ever suffering the same fate as them.

|| Sadly, Shion was killed by a Special Grade Curse from a mission, leaving Himawari alone by herself. After the death of Shion, however, Himawari started outwardly behaving more like her sister and eventually developed her smile and attitude to match while internally holding in her rage. as much as she wants to befriend curses, she can't help but despise and disgusted by them.

|| Himawari was a first-year alongside Megumi Fushiguro. she enjoys teasing Megumi, to the point of being rather sadistic about it, maybe other curses too. Himawari was also medical expertise, she displays immense skill and mastery over medical and pharmaceutical, making her the somewhat second unofficial doctor in Jujutsu High.
