after the US goes into lockdown, 14 year-old alvah hirota has begun to question her sexuality and the way she identifies. her only issue: her parents were born in a country where it is illegal to be gay. she has to find a way to experiment without her parents finding out.  she runs into MANY different obstacles- each getting bigger and bigger.

His parents try really hard to get him to be a girl and after he got into a fight at school he has to go to detention where he meets a boy called Devin. While his own view about himself is challenged, he finds himself touching rock bottom. But Nick is just trying to be accepted as himself, Unapologetically. This is a story written for pride month 2024.
