Nicki is a single mother, living in Southside Jamaica Queens, New York. She is working two jobs and struggling to make ends meet. One night, her baby gets sick and she has to take her to the emergency room, where she meets Drake who is there with his family because his sister is in labor. Call it fate but their paths crossed, even though they are from opposite sides of the track.
Drake quickly falls for her and wants to do nothing but take care of her and her daughter. He was a lonely man, living in a mansion in the Hampton's. There was more than enough room for her in his life but of course, he doesn't have his family backing him. He wasn't rich, he was wealthy and with wealth came standards and his family felt that Nicki just didn't fit the bill.
But his family isn't the only obstacle the couple has to overcome. Pride, lies, deceit and hate tangle up their relationship and they get to a point where they both want to give up.
