(Bakugo never bullied deku in this AU and they are both extremely protective of one another)
Having a soulmate isn't rare, almost everyone having one, (with some exceptions being without one) their name appearing on the side of your neck or the collarbone at the age of 5. Katsuki and Izuku being best friends considering their mothers being close friends, both being raised together. When Izuku turns five him and Katsuki are discovered to be soulmates. When Izuku turns 7 a new study showing that over 60% of the male population is able to become pregnant and give birth because of the discovery of what's referred to as the 'Carrier Gene' and being able to know it by a mark in the shape of a star at the waist. Izuku and Katsuki were always together at every chance they got and ecstatic about being soulmates, but what happens when Katsuki is discovered to have the 'Carrier Gene'.
(they will be switches but bakugo is mainly bottom due to having the 'Carrier Gene')

[Inspired by @azreto's AU on tumblr] Soulmates don't discover their significant other until the age of 18. Difficult for most but never stopped many's desires. Young Izuku accepted his fate of being quirkless and didn't push that path any further. He discovered that his love for heroes and protecting people can be pursued in a different career choice that he decided to go into the medical field. As he spends his last year in middle school still being picked on by the devilish Katsuki. He knew he didn't want to leave things on bad terms. But sadly he didn't get that happy farewell from middle school to high school since the two parted. They lost their connection together until a brief connection in texts before his flight to his new future to be in the medical field and become a true hero. One without the quirks. For example at the ripe age of twenty four Pro Hero Dynamight has never had a day off since he graduated from U.A. His birthday is coming up so the Bakusquad make sure he gets a day off and hire a prostitute named Bunny a.k.a Izuku Midoriya for him to relieve some stress with. But Katsuki rejects the idea of having sex with the total stranger and in the end Izuku just stays the night then leaves the next morning. However, a few months later Izuku has to vacate his apartment and has no where to go so Katsuki decides to help the stranger. Dream Izuku's goal is to repay Katsuki. In the real world many Pro heroes are trying to solve the complicated case and find the culprit so they can wake up the victims because come to find out the victims could actually die if they don't wake up from their dream.
