In a world that loves to "diagnose and treat," we forget that we must also talk through things, build connections and offer real holistic support. That leaves many living with mental illness to believe they can't be completely transparent with their deepest thoughts in fear of judgement, hospitalization, or being put on medication after only 7 minutes with their psychiatrist.
"Things I couldn't bring up in therapy" is MY open diary, a way of opening up the topic of mental health in a deeply personal way. Poems I wrote in moments of rage, depression and dissociative states are out in the open in hopes to widen the talk around mental health and End The Stigma.
