Six weeks ago, four girls stepped into a forest- three stepped out.

Victoria Côte disappeared while on a trip with Florence Dupont, Delphine Morin, and Michelle Toussaint. Ever since the three have been inextricably connected by a mysterious brand none of them can seem to get rid of. Meanwhile, the ghost of Victoria Côte haunts Florence relentlessly for a crime she can't remember committing.

Darcy Sinclair, Victoria's best friend, has felt the shift in the air. She knows something is wrong and she won't rest until she finds out what. She suspects the girls of foul-play, but with no proof, Darcy is left with nothing but bitter resentment.

After the disappearance of Victoria Côte- both Florence and Darcy are searching: Florence for her memories and Darcy for the truth. All while the trees whisper and a missing girl weaves a path for them to follow.
