After a car crash that ends the lives of her strongly Christian, and slightly homophobic parents, Ava is forced to leave the busy streets of Chicago to live with her grandmother in a peaceful village in Cornwall, England.
Life there seems bleak and boring, though with the help of a friend who she may or may not crush on more than she lets on, maybe she can find the girl who she used to be before teenagehood and tragedy hit.
