After years of fighting the alien race that has invaded earth, Jack Singleton has given up. He's lost almost everything. His father, his team, and now his planet. The only thing he has left is his twin sister Emma, who he hadn't seen since he sent her into the bunker 5 years ago. He was off to join them, to be with her again.

But when he falls into it, he learns that the survivors in the bunker had become a twisted version of themselves, trapped in the dark tunnels that used to be paradise. With mutant humans and animals crawling around, Jack quickly learns that most would rather kill him than talk to him.

He also has to take charge and become a hero for those who can't against an unwavering bully in a far-away world. My book blends fiction with reality, as the reader follows along in the life of a shy high school student who gets thrown into many situations he must overcome as he finds out who he truly is and why it is him who needs to save the world, while keeping the reader guessing every step of the way.
