The mystery about the eiteseanie is something beyond mortal's knowing, but the immortal are aware of the danger that it causes. Long have they seen many men fall, men who claim to be so powerful, but yet fail in their task so easily. Malweniel, an elf ranger of Inardhon, finds the eiteseanie in the forest without knowing what it really is. She carries it, unaware of the darkness that follows her like the footsteps of doom. A group of nine, joins her on the long journey towards the east, all sworn to protect her. But this is the world of Kostata, and life is not so simple. The quest needs to remain secret, if Malweniel would even look behind, the whole plan would be doomed.
