The pseudo-steam-punk world has been rid of vegetation and fertility. All this was done by a virus that sprang into existence called The Darkness.

As bad a name as that may be, the world has plunged into chaos and disaster.  The virus has also infected animals and humans, killing them almost instantly and reshaping the structures of their bodies. Some humans, however, have survived the plague and have established and sustained towns and cities that could last for lifetimes to come. The land outside these places was called the Darkness region.

A few decades after the incident, East, a city, is still surviving. The mayor's daughter, Rose, has set out to explore the Darkness region out of curiosity. This is her adventure.Public Domain

Should she call out or remain silent?
