Toby didn't have time to get distracted. He did his job, he served his master and he got along with his co-workers. Toby couldn't afford to be distracted by a silly, stupid little girl 9 years his junior. He ripped and peeled at his skin, over and over again; he picked and scraped at his flesh until it was rubbed red raw by the unkept nails of his left hand. He couldn't kill her, he couldn't get sloppy with this, he could however keep her. And keeping her is exactly what he would do.
