Lily Jones, a bubbly, talkative girl who everyone loved... until the worst thing she could've imagined happened, on her 8th birthday her mom was shot and killed in a robbery at their favorite café, leaving her in the care of her stepfather, Daniel.
Daniel blamed Lily for her mothers death, causing him to become abusive over time. At first it started off as slaps here and there. By her 11th birthday it had turned into full out beating, some of them to the point where she couldn't get off the dirty floor in her "bedroom" (basement), to go to school. Occasionally it was so bad she missed school for a week at a time. The abuse turned Lily from a happy bubbly person to an antisocial one, who never talked to anyone and constantly wore her hood over her head so no one could see her bruises, scars and markings. Everything got worse on the day of her 12th birthday, when Daniel invited some of his friends over and the r*pe began. It continued to get worse day after day. That all carried on until one ordinary day when Lily got called down to the school's office and received the news that Daniel had been drunk driving and died in a car accident.
What happens when she finds out she's going to live with her father and 6 brothers? What will happen when they realize a lot has changed in the past 11 years? When they find out Lily's not the same happy little girl she used to be? Will she tell them what she's gone through? Will they accept her?

And with Christmas approaching, our group get to face ten hellish days. Preview: In his fury, the chains have rubbed his wrists and neck raw, despite me trying to calm him down. He suddenly calms down when the screams in the cell next to us switch to the sound of bones breaking. Now he sits with foam on his lips and his eyes wide, looking that way. After ten minutes, the sounds of the boys in our cell have died down, and we all look at the wall that separates us from the crackling of the breaking bones. And then suddenly all is quiet. After a few silent minutes, our cell door opens slowly. From the ball of light from the ceiling, the little girl in the doorway is illuminated. She is completely covered in blood and doesn't move. Then she opens her eyes and carefully walks towards us. And despite everything, my first impulse is to crawl backwards, away from the unnatural calm radiating from her. ------------- After reading yet another great older brothers/younger sister story, where the family gets reunited after years of separation, the sister keeps the secret that she was abused and assaulted all along, and the brothers conceal their work in the mafia, I decided to give it also a try. The output of my story was initially to turn this around with openness and unconditional support and the torture should happen right in front of their very eyes. Because no story is complete without the (un)necessary bloodshed, action, humour and, of course, a bad guy. And who knows, to throw everything completely upside down, the main character may not survive. I won't write warnings above each chapter, because most of them contain violence, blood, torture, etc. Constructive criticism is welcome. Ow, and English is not my first, second or third language.
