Kevin is a loving boy with a large heart, while Aleks is a lonely boy with a broken heart.
Or a broken boy with a lonely heart.
All of Aleks' life he considered himself to be "not real" to people, for when he entered someone's life, they'd keep them for a while, but then leave and forget him completely. He simply wasn't real and couldn't remain in someone's life for more than a month, which broke him.
So, when he falls in love with the guy who goes by Kevin, he's dying to be real to him and he oh so badly wants Kevin to cause flowers to grow inside of him and to make him feel loved and real again.
