The Works as they call it is a way to imagine the worse things possible and to live with it for the rest of your life. It has been years after the first time scientists have thought of a way to make everyone see their "happy place" whenever they wanted until something epically went wrong. Now it is up to one girl who can stop this "catastrophic event" that drove her family insane. Her name is Meredith and she is one of the few to have survived such a dark age of the past decade.
