Bane the fox finally got the job of his dreams, being a royal healer; something he had wanted for so long to be able to support himself and his sister for they barely made enough money to scrape by after their parents had died. He expected himself to be able to keep up, to have ample magic to be able to preform his job as a healer in the castle. But he soon learns that his magic may be too weak, that only the most powerful and elite of the healers were able to keep up with the demanding work. He pushed himself through, thinking he might just be able to make it, even as his magic threatens to give out. But with a war on the horizon and an Arctic wolf that he is forced to complete an almost impossible mission with, he finds that the job may have included much more than he had signed up for. And with the even more pressing dangers of realms colliding, the fox fears that it just maybe will end them all.
