Darryl hated the suns, the three blinding lights burned against his leathery skin. They were a reminder of how different he was, how close he was to the sky, and how far he was from the ground, where most remained.
Creatures of many types stared in awe as he towered above them. They treated him as though he were an animal at a fair, existing only to entertain. Till he ran away. Far, far away. Somewhere safe, a cave, near the Crystallite Village. For centuries, that is where he remained. He relied on his companions, A Fireborne called Nick and a Goblin from house Manifold, for resources to live. That is.. Until he met Zak.

Zak was always an adventurous young man, well, dwarf, curious about all the world has to offer. So when he learned of the legend that a giant had taken refuge nearby centuries ago, he had to find out if it was true. The Fungal Cave, the biggest cave in the entirety of the Dwarf lands, that is where the beast would be found.

But, who he discovered was no beast.
