A história se sucede em um dos anos mais chuvosos na cidade de Paris, localizada na França. 

Quando Melinda denuncia seu ex-namorado por perseguição e ameaças. Ela começa a ter consultas com o psiquiatra Edward Ramírez que passa a ajudá-la durante as consultas. 

No decorrer das sessões, a relação entre Melinda e o psiquiatra avança um passo inesperado. Mas a atração de Edward pela paciente o coloca na linha de frente com problemas perigosos.
